Nobu celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Berkeley Street branch of the restaurant group. Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert de Niro came together to co-host a private event to mark the site’s decade, providing guests with trademark cuisine and cocktails.

Nobu-san and Mr De Niro were joined by their colleagues and friends, amongst them Tommy Lee, Tom Hollander, Miranda Richardson, Corinne Bailey Rae and Jeremy Irvine. The party was sponsored by Diageo and British footwear brand Malone Souliers. The three brands worked together harmoniously, creating a halo effect for each other – and resulting in superb coverage of the project.

Bacchus also linked the launch of the Nobu x Arita porcelain range to the 400th anniversary of Japanese Arita Porcelain and invited key UK media, retailers and Arita craftsman to a special celebration breakfast at Nobu London.

The dinnerware was designed by Nobu’s eponymous superstar chef Nobu Matsuhisa and Arita Plus; discussion at the breakfast was chaired by design editor Max Fraser (previously deputy director of the London Design Festival) and the cooking of the traditional Japanese breakfast dishes was overseen by Nobu San himself. One of the many positive outcomes was that Harrods became the exclusive UK stockist for the range.
